Ample parking will be provided in an underground car park, with a capacity for 160 vehicles, an open-air one for 70 cars plus another 20 parking spaces
C.M.W..MaóAnew commercial and leisure centre is gradually taking shape on a 6,500 sq.m. plot situated at the entrance to Sant Lluís and is scheduled to open in spring 2008. Sa Tanca Centre will house some 50 business and leisure outlets as well as offering parking for 250 cars. The project, which is being promoted by the company Ninco S.A., represents an outlay of 10 million euros, the majority of which is being funded by island investors together with some Catalan capital. The builders, Construcciones Florit, S.L., started work on the complex, which was designed by the architect Guillem Coll, at the end of 2005 and anticipate completing construction at the end of next year. Sa Tanca project comprises four buildings of two storeys above ground level and two below, covering a total area of 15,000 sq.m., set around a central interior courtyard of 1,000 sq.m. which will give access to all the outlets. The 50 business premises will vary in size, according to the needs of the occupant, and will be located on the two floors above ground and the first underground level, which will also accommodate a 12-lane bowling alley. A car park for 160 vehicles will occupy the lower of the underground levels. Access to this underground car park will be from the Avinguda de sa Pau and this level will be connected to the other floors by two staircases and lifts. There will also be three emergency exits. A further, open-air, car park will be located in the southern section of the plot, adjacent to calle Ses Barraques. This will have room for 70 vehicles and a further 20 parking spaces will be provided around the complex.
