ViveMenorca suffer two defeats this week
The local basketball team has not had a successful week. ViveMenorca hosted the game against Iurbentia Bilbao on Thursday which finished in a narrow defeat for the home team by 64:68 and then travelled to take on DKV Joventut on Sunday. Their opponents, currently in 4th place in the ACB league, showed their superiority, the final score reading DKV Joventuts 92 ViveMenorca 74.
The Menorcan team, now in fifteenth position in the ACB league and only one place above the relegation zone, will next face 16th-placed CB Murcia in a home game at Bintaufa on Sunday, starting at 1230 hrs. and being televised live on IB3.

Return to form for Valeriano Allès team
The Ciutadella ladies' volleyball team made a welcome return to form this week when they beat VA Toledo in an away match that finished 0:3. Valeriano Allès remains in third place in the superleague but on equal points with the second-placed Murcia team, Albacete still heading the table.
The local team's next appointment is a home match against CV La Caja de Canarias on Saturday, starting at 1900 hrs.
