Friday and Saturday saw the latest production from the Menorca Charity Players performed at the Orfeón Theatre in Maó. The production was a revised version of Cinderella, which included some modern adaptations. This was by far the most ambitious production with over 40 members being involved both on stage and behind the scenes. The audience on both nights enjoyed the fun and frivolity combined with some excellent musical interludes. The production celebrated Tony Hatch's seventieth year by having a musical score with some of his most famous numbers.

The aim was to raise as much money as possible to help earthquake-stricken Haiti. The club made arrangements for all the funds raised to be used to purchase "SHELTERBOXES" which provide a tent, sleeping and cooking equipment for ten people. The club hopes to be able to send at least four kits via Rotary International, ensuring that all the money raised actually reaches those that need help.
