Ciutadella Council paid 98,600 euros for 8 projects of work to be drawn up, 71,600 euros more than the price recommended by the College of Engineers. This is one of the reasons why the UPCM party is calling for prison sentences for the former Mayor Llorenç Brondo and Councillors Avel·lí Casanovas and Gabriel Cardona, these being the people whose actions were responsible for the company Serveis Ambientals de Balears (SAB) and engineer Daniel Aguiló Ferretjans being paid far more than they should have received if the College of Engineers recommendations had been followed.

The projects in question were the Cala Morell viewpoint, the canal at the Lago in Cala en Bosc, Los Delfines' car park, the Calespiques roundabout, work on the area around the Cala en Blanes church and the three phases of the Palmeral.

Examples of the overpayments are the Cala Morell viewpoint where the recommended fee would be 1,771,58 euros, but the Council paid 16,500 euros, or the work in Cala en Bosc where 11,500 euros was paid instead of 1,772.58 euros.
