On a very wet Sunday 10th October forty four golfers took part in the annual Santa Margarita Golf competition. Organised by the church, the competition was played to raise funds that will be split between the church and ALBA, the charity that works on behalf of women affected by breast cancer.

Eleven teams of four contested the competition, setting off on the rain-soaked course at 0930 hrs.

The winning team was composed of: Paul Perkins, Ron Barnes, Derry Slattery and Anthony R. Perkins. Second were Juan Ferrá, Pedro Sintes, Miguel Quetglas and Sara Roberts.

Third placed were Pere Pons, Lorenzo Pons Vinent, Luis Arevalo Jnr and Jordi Pons Villalonga.

Amongst the female players Maria Teresa Juaneda achieved longest drive and nearest shot to the hole.

The church's Social Committee, led by Sarah Gardener, along with Rev. Dr. Michael Bunce, thank all the participants for turning out on such a horrible morning.
