The Menorca Charity Players, under the direction of Chris Collman, are preparing for their next show, "A Winter Wonderland", which will be a Christmas revue with carols, songs and sketches. This will take the form of a theatre dinner to be held in the beautiful setting of the Casino Mahonés, a period building, now a Gentlemen's Club, located in Plaça Princep in the heart of Maó (a short distance up the hill from the fruit and vegetable market).

The first half of the show will open with Christmas carols followed by three or four sketches and then 13-year old Amianna singing a lovely song from "Snowman". Children from the group will accompany John Ellison in a song of his own composition shown in a video at the start of the second half, which will include more songs and a skit on 'Brief Encounter'.

The first night, 3rd December, will be a show-only evening with an audience limited to 80 people. The cost per adult will be 10 euros (with one child free, space permitting). The other performances, on 4th, 10th and 11th December, will be combined with a three-course meal, including wine, and will cost 25 euros per adult, with numbers limited to 50-60 to create a more intimate atmosphere. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased from Ca'n Dulce in Sant Climent, Comercial Papelera, Maó, Monet Hairdressers in Sant Lluís, Scandals Restaurant, Es Castell, or online from menorca.charity.players@gmail.com.
